Nancy Cascades

A long stream paralleled by wide path, leading to a high waterfall and steep headwall trail.

Summary

This trail is a complex combination of easy and wide and steep, rocky, and narrow. The lengthy walk to the headwall gives plenty of opportunity to warm up, and can be suitable for moderately experienced hikers. However, the headwall sections of the trail are very rough and steep and can be dangerous. The upper section of the cascades can provide excellent views, but can be slippery if wet and dangerous.

A mass of bright pink bubbles on worn wood that is also spotted with tiny grey rimmed dark discs. A pair of partly fallen trees overhang the trail. A fanciful landscape of soft blue-green lichen and fuzzy white mushrooms with purplish gills. A gap in the conifers shows the valley beyond. At the bottom of the image is a pool of water. A set of crimped, powder coated brown tubes.
