Metacomet-Monadnock

A foreground band of grey / maroon trees partly blocks a lake to the right and its bordering conifer forest. Beyond that are the buildings of a town and the broad expanse of a blue, reflective river.
An extension of the Metacomet Trail that leads from the Connecticut to New Hampshire borders.

Mount Toby

A small cliff like a nearly breaking wave, dark, studded with separate rocks.
A small but pretty mountain trail in mid-Massachusetts.
 

Mount Wachusett

A trail sign silhoetted to the left and a spindly fire tower with a box room at the top, to the right.
The tallest mountain in Massachusetts east of the Berkshires, this was the hideout of the notorious Sachem "King Philip", who massacred many settlers in the region as a result of his grievances against them.

Mount Watatic

A slope up to the right with a woman walking upward on the right side. The sky is blue and without a cloud. The ground is partly grey rock and partly grass. A spray of bush to the left balances the composition.
An 1800 foot mountain on the border of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
