North and Middle Sugarloaf

An open bright granite summit looks out over a landscape of higher forested mountains. A woman seems to be almost dancing on the rock.
A small pair of summits with excellent wildlife, huge boulders, and some exposed and superb views.

Shining Wall

A huge slab of rock, greyish, mottled with maroon, extends from the upper left. Beyond, the forest shares the slope. Tiny figures to the lower right provide scale.
A two hundred foot slab perched halfway up a mountain, with water seeping down its surface.

Skies and Sunsets - White Mountains 2002

Dark foreground hills, lavender clouds with gold glowing fringe, above.
The beautiful skies and sunsets of our summer trip. I sprained my shoulder taking the sunset images.

Square Ledge

A pair of sharp edged, pyramidal cliffs.
A small cliff, visible from the Appalachian Mountain Club Pinkham Notch Hut, used for rock climbing and great views of the Presidentials.

Thompson Falls

Sue leans forward in amazement at a beautiful stone chamber with a waterfall down one wall.
A short hike near the Wildcat Ski Area across from Pinkham Notch. A wonderful though not always easy trail with many pretty cascades.
