Bluff Point / Main Trail - Northwest End

The north end of the trail looks out down an inlet toward the nearby Long Island Sound. Even the low foliage is lush.

Bluff Point / Main Trail - View of Pine Island

This view looks south toward the landmark Pine Island. That island is the last bit of land on the line that leads from Bluff Point through Bushy Point to Pine Island. Groton - New London airport is on the pennisula on the other side of the Poqonock River (the water in the foreground is the outlet of that river into Long Island Sound).

Bluff Point / Main Trail - Edge of the Poquonock River

Sue waves her hands through the brackish water of the Poquonock River where it approaches Long Island Sound on the west side of Bluff Point.
