A giant bonsai in fog and snow with the well-clothed hiker climbing laboriously toward us

Shortly after emerging above treeline, we follow several switchbacks up into the storm. In this image, Dan hikes past a stunted pine. Snow accumulates here, but at higher levels, the winds have blown the snow away.
