Mount Watatic, Wapack / Midstate Loop - Eastern Phoebe Nest Top View

A look down into a nest cupped with moss, centered with grass, holding four small tan eggs that have one rounded end and one slightly pointed end.

This photo of the Eastern Phoebe nest under the roof of the guideboard was taken by holding the digital camera up over the nest and using the autofocus on macro set the sharpness. The four eggs are unusual in being tan, when Phoebe eggs are usually white. Note the one egg that seems to show a bubble of ait at one end.
