Directissima - Bridge Across a Stream on the North end
Sue stands next to a wood log bridge across the Directissima - at this point (about a third of a mile in) the trail is relatively level and, except for the tree roots and scattered rocks (starting to become denser at this point in the trail), a pretty easy walk. But this elaborate bridge is needed to cross a deeply cut stream bed.
