From the highest of everything. Not always great views, but still the view from the top.

A rock platform in the foreground, edged with short, classic looking pines; mountains beyond, blued with distance, under a brilliantly colored sky. A dusty trail leads to an exposed and precarious outlook framed with an evergreen and spiky volcanic rocks. Evergreens and bare deciduous trees on the floor of the valley are softened by an early winter late day haze. The alpine summit cone of Mt. Madison fills the frame, dappled with large cloud shadows. Clouds highlight a blue sky. A foreground cliff and trees with the massive cone of Mt. Madison rising against a clear sky beyond.
