Directissima / Glen Boulder / Lost Pond Loop

 A shallow pleasant trail leads to a steep ascent and alpine views on the shoulder of Mt Washington, followed by a descent to the 12,000 year old "Lost Pond".

Sue stands next to a wood log bridge along the Directissima with trees all around Sue hikes up a scree slope toward an overhanging granitic cliff on the Directissima Sue digs through the pack for food with the stream in the foregound and the trail leading away in the background. Water runs over a rock covered in moss, stretching out little stalactites of moss. Trees frame a soft pastel view of the neighboring ridge and the boulders that stud its edge.
