Lowe`s Bald Spot - Trail Signs At Pinkham Notch Camp

The trail signs at Pinkham Notch don't show the distance to the Bald Spot, but the road is about 0.3 miles from the Bald Spot, so the total distance is about 1.8 miles.

The sign warns you to only try this trail if you are in top physical condition, well clothed and carrying extra cloting and food.

Lowe`s Bald Spot - Attention Sign

The trails in the White Mountains are difficult in themselves, but the added concern of a weather that can produce hail or snow in the summer means that even casual day hikers are wise to bring additional resources.
