Thompson Falls - Hourglass of Water

This little neck is a tiny waterfall that shows how the water is pulled and striated by the forces that tug it over the edge.

An oval, yellowish green pool of clear water is bordered by rocks to the left and filled with a fall over a broad pale clamshell of rock on the right.

Thompson Falls - The Lowest Waterfall

This is the lowest of the Thompson Falls. The water in the pool exhibits some discoloration, but is not brown, unlike that of the lower streams.

Imp Face Trail Loop - First Cascade

The start of the Imp Face Trail offers many opportunities for enjoying the nearby stream. Here, a small cascade offers a pretty resting spot, shortly before the trail crosses and leaves the stream.

Water runs over a rock covered in moss, stretching out little stalactites of moss.

Glen Boulder Trail - Moss Stalactite and Water

The cold water pouring from the slopes of Mt. Washington along the Glen Boulder trail runs over this rock and the moss grows to follow it, just like a stalactite in a cave.
