Pemi Trail - The Pemigewasset Pemigewasset means"swift current" in Abenaki, and the water does flow fairly quickly for a comparatively flat channel. At this late hour, the lemon sunlight and the blue reflection of the sky make a perfect color palette for what is otherwise not an especially remarkable trail. As the last leg of the Lonesome Loop, however, this is a welcome respite from the constant but irregular pounding of the stony trails that cover most of the mountain. See also… 7/30/2003 |

Basin Cascade Trail - Base of Rocky Glen Falls This is the first sight of Rocky Glen Falls on the descent (and the last on the ascent).
